General Instructions for Lectors & Extraordinary Ministers   On the schedule, the lectors are listed first and then the Extraordinary ministers. The Extraordinary ministers’ names are italicized. The first Extraordinary minister will distribute the host, while the other two will be ministers of the cup.   For lectors, the first lector will carry the Lectionary in the Procession. He or she will do the first reading and the announcements. The announcements are read following Communion.   The second lector will do the second reading and the General Intercessions following the Homily. If a Deacon is serving, he will read the General Intercessions instead of the second lector. The second lector will also carry the Lectionary in the Recessional at the end of Mass.   PLEASE contact a replacement if you are unable to serve at your scheduled time. Many people didn’t show up and didn’t find subs during the summer. This is something we can definitely improve on.
