If anyone attending a Mass wishes to serve, you are welcome to vest. However, those assigned to a Mass get the assigned roles. If you do vest, PLEASE remember that you are serving before the Lord and our parish. Serving at the altar is a big responsibility. The clergy count on you showing up when scheduled. They count on your mature attitude while serving. You are expected to dress neatly and to arrive and be vested at least 10 minutes before Mass begins. If you cannot serve at your scheduled time, it is YOUR responsibility to find a substitute.
